This restaurant is truly a hidden gem for authentic Indonesian food! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm, cozy atmosphere. The space is quite large, yet it still feels intimate and inviting. The temperature inside was set just right, not stuffy at all, and the comfortable seating made it easy to relax and enjoy the dining experience. The food itself was outstanding. We tried their Nasi Gurih Ayam Goreng Berempah, Nasi Gurih Rendang Beef and Nasi Kuning Ayam Rendang. The dishes were freshly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully aromatic. The portions were generous, and I really appreciated that the seasoning was spot-on, not too salty. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. Each bite tasted authentic, like a comforting taste of Indonesia. The staff here are fantastic. They’re very attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure guests are happy. Quick service. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, this place completely hit the spot. Delicious food, great service, and a welcoming environment. It’s everything you want in a dining experience. This is a place I would happily return to again and again. Highly recommended!

Portion : Huge. Shareable between 2 Pax. However would be good to have slightly more sambal for the rice set. Taste : All are freshly cooked. Love how crispy aubergine and tempeh were. Not too salty. Does not give you any MSG after taste. Air Sirap was gooood! Wished it was bottomless! Appreciate how fresh vegetables were served. Ambience : Temperature of restaurant was set right. Not stuffy. Comfortable seats. Price Point : total of RM111.20 for 5 Pax ordering 3 Nasi Ayam Penyet Set, 1 Nasi Gurih, 1 Nasi Soto. Would definitely come back.

Was surprised to find an Indonesian restaurant here, more specifically of Sumatran cuisine. Place was nicely set up, with well arranged seatings. Food was quite good, well balanced with an assortment of dishes regardless of ehich dish you choose. Overall it was quite a satisfying meal for us.

We had set Nasi Soto with additional fish of fried fish and my daughter had Nasi lemak ayam berempah . Overall food was good and tasty . The ambiance was nice and clean . The Soto reminds me of my Indonesian friend’s cooking back when I was living in Saigon. Yes in Saigon . As I have many Indonesian expat friends in Saigon who loves cooking .

Dropped by IPC Shopping Centre for some ladies' stuff (you know, lashes and all ). It was around 5PM and I felt like trying something new to eat. Spotted this Indonesian restaurant called Taste of Medan and decided to give it a shot. Ordered the Lontong Sayur Medan and OMG… it was sooo good!! Seriously, the flavours were spot on. I did wonder why the place was quite empty, but maybe it's because everyone had already eaten by then. No complaints though - more peace for me! Then my helper came with my little boy, so I got her the Nasi Ayam Penyek and a Panama Rose Gold (passionfruit sour plum). And guess what? Also super fresh and tasty! We were all impressed. Definitely a hidden gem. Please try it if you’re around - it’s worth every drop of saliva (lol )!!!

Beautiful lovely new restaurant at Ikano Power Centre, PJ. The decor is so reminiscing of Medan with rattan decor and posters of iconic places in Medan. Really enjoyed the ambience which is cozily lit. We had nasi kuning ayam goreng berempah. The chicken was freshly fried, crispy and aromatic. The yellow rice was rich in taste and aromats. Love all the sides of french beans and cucumber which gives it some freshness, tempeh a sweet respite, acar was so good, fine shredded eggs and some potatoes. By the time my partner finished this, he was absolutely full. I had the nasi bruih ayam rendang. It is nasi lemak. The ayam rendang is one of the best I have ever tasted. I asked for extra rendang kuah and it goes so well with the rice. The chicken was tender and practically falls off the bone. The is an absolute must try for first time visitors. All the sides were similar to the earlier dish, only that it has some fried meehoon which was so flavourful. I won't mind eating an entire plate of this meehon. Every thing was presented on a rattan dulang like plate lined with banana leaf which makes is so pleasing to the eye. I really enjoyed all the sides that come on the plate. Everything was polished off except for some rice as I was way too full. The lemon tea that came with the set was an absolute complement with the entire eating experience. Great friendly and prompt service. Love this enchanting restaurant. Definitely will be back to try the many other offerings on its menu. Prices is very reasonable too.
